Do you fancy going for a wee walk?

01/07/2016
Sport and physical activity
From 5th – 11th September 2016, the Active Cairngorms Partnership will be encouraging everyone to head outdoors for a wee walk.

This week-long celebration of short local walks will support and promote the Park’s outdoor access strategy, Active Cairngorms. Focused primarily on those who could benefit from increased levels of physical activity, the promotion is also targeted at schools and workplaces where sedentary behaviour is more prevalent.

• A wee walk can be as short as you like, but usually under 4 miles on good paths and gentle slopes.
• You don’t need special equipment so it’s easy to head out on your own or with your friends, family, school group or work colleagues.
• Wee walks are a great way to get outdoors, get to know your local area and meet new people. They are fun, free and will help you feel great.

Do you want to join us for a wee walk? If so, look out for our promotional campaign and Wee Walk pledge website in the coming weeks.
